Over the past three years, since Tata Power began managing Odisha's power distribution, the company has placed orders amounting to Rs 8,690 crore with local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and Rs 2,791 crore with non-MSMEs. These contracts cover two main areas: materials and services.
Breakdown of Contracts
Service Sector: The discoms have granted contracts worth Rs 7,560 crore to 4,347 local vendors. These contracts involve services such as meter reading, billing, network maintenance, and more.
Materials Supply: Contracts valued at Rs 3,921 crore have been awarded to 2,298 suppliers for essential components including distribution transformers, cables, poles, and other equipment.
