For this, tunnels will be constructed at 16040 feet high Baralacha, 17480 feet high Tagalangala and 18380 feet high Khardungla Pass. The distance from Manali to Leh is 475 km. This distance will be reduced by about 250 kilometers due to the construction of tunnels and it will also take about ten hours less to reach Leh from Manali.
