With time, advancements in technology have also paved the way for newer kinds of music such as electronic music, deep house, etc. There are too many people who try their hand at becoming musicians/producers but very few of them actually make it. One such example is DJ Axonn.
Rajat Mahajan, better known by his stage name DJ Axonn is a producer and DJ and is one of the most popular DJs in India. Axonn hails from Amritsar, Punjab, and is currently based out of Mumbai, Maharashtra. He studied engineering before he decided to pursue his dream of becoming a DJ.
He started his journey as a music producer back in 2010 and has come a long way since. From performing at live shows and clubs, Axonn moved on-campus shows and then started uploading his own mixes on YouTube which quickly started getting a lot of attention.
Having performed at numerous high-level gigs, Axonn’s best set as a DJ was when he part of the ‘One Republic’ band India tour.
In the last two years, Axonn has entertained people with virtual gigs where he would play his own tunes and even mixes of old Bollywood music and Punjabi hits.
When he was asked about what fuels his drive and passion for music, Axonn shared, “I believe in mastering my art and improving it day after day. My focus has always been on
me and I feel that I have improved my skills in the last few years. In a time where
everyone follows trends, I love to create them."
