DJ Maitre Kenobi aka Franck Kanga is a rising French music producer. An entrepreneur and a DJ - Kenobi fearlessly follows his passions and has always aimed to be the best in his field. The 33-year-old Parisian is a music prodigy and just at the age of 7 had started experimenting with Jazz sounds.
The streak of experimenting with music and sounds has carved out an ambitious music career for him, filled with phenomenal sounds.
Kenobi is a wizard in the studio and can work modern sounds into the oldest of songs. Remixing music and tastefully bringing modern flares to old tracks or just some tweaks here and there, go a long way in keeping a song alive and remembered. Kenobi draws his inspiration from musical legends like Quincy Jones and is always buzzing with ideas about new tracks and sounds.
His philosophy when it comes to music production is quite simple - he keeps it simple; “One of the most important things in life is to think simple - and I extend this philosophy for life into my music too. Keep it simple. Something you might do could be complex to others, and what is complex to you might be a cakewalk for someone. But don’t forget complexity, music is best when it’s authentic and you can’t fake it. Listen to your heart and simply go on the roads your heart wants to travel.”.
Alongside producing and DJing, Kenobi also manages his indie music label, Polymath Records and all its artists have a lineup of projects in the making, and with Kenobi’s touch, we’re sure to be treated to a soundscape of experimental, artful music.
