The apex court has stayed the order of the Allahabad High Court, in which the DJ playing within the state was completely banned. Along with this, the Supreme Court has also given relief to the professionals who earn a livelihood by running a disc jockey (DJ) in marriage or other ceremonies. Just before the start of the matrimonial season, the court had issued an order to the Uttar Pradesh government to allow these people to play DJs under the rules.
