People are using eye drops to combat eye flu. However, according to a report received, Dr. JS Titiyal of AIIMS said that after two weeks of inserting steroid eye drops in the eye, there is a risk of spots on the cornea and increased eye pressure. That is why AIIMS has not included steroids in its treatment protocol. He warned that by giving steroids, patients get relief quickly, but later there is a risk of eye damage and poor vision. The doctor says that antibiotics should also be used correctly. Dr. Rajendra said that if more than one person is affected by the flu in the same family, then do not put the same eye drop. There is a risk of cross-infection when doing so. To prevent it from spreading, the doctor has advised that all infected people should use different eye drops.

How does conjunctivitis spread?
Conjunctivitis can be highly contagious in some cases and spreads through contact with someone who is already infected. The most common way the disease spreads is when infected people repeatedly touch their eyes and forget to clean their hands. If a person has conjunctivitis disease, do not look into his eyes and do not touch his handkerchief, towel, toilet spout, door handle, mobile etc.

Symptoms of conjunctivitis:
According to doctors, you should visit an ophthalmologist as soon as the symptoms of conjunctivitis appear. Its common symptoms include red eyes, itching, tears. There may also be discharge or crust around the eyes. If the doctor thinks it is conjunctivitis, then that doctor may prescribe antibiotic eye drops.
Redness of eyes: One of the primary symptoms of eye flu is redness of the affected eyes. The conjunctiva swells and fills with blood vessels, causing the eye to appear pink or red.
Itching and irritation: Infected individuals may experience itching, irritation, and irritation in the eyes. The urge to rub the eyes should be avoided to prevent it from spreading further.
Watery discharge: Eye flu often causes watery or sticky discharge from the eyes. This secretion can cause crust to accumulate around the eyelids, especially after sleeping.
Sensitivity to light: Individuals suffering from eye flu may be more sensitive to light, which can cause discomfort in brightly lit environments.
Sensation: Swelling can cause some people to feel as if there is an object, such as sand or particles, in their eyes.
