Ayushmann Khurrana and Junglee Pictures, who are renowned for creating the most original content with subtly political social commentary (such as Badhaai Ho and Bareilly Ki Barfi), are back. The name Ayushmann Khurrana has evolved into its own genre. Known for his concept-driven films, such as Vicky Donor, in which he plays a sperm donor, and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, in which he deals with erectile dysfunction, audiences have always embraced his films as family comedies despite their daring nature. In this film, Doctor G, he plays the part of a male gynecologist in a comedy-drama set on a medical campus. This is Ayushmann's first A-rated film, which is recommended for audiences 18 and older.

The comedy "Doctor G," starring Ayushmann Khurrana, follows the journey of a would-be orthopaedic surgeon who instead ends up in the gynecology department. As the lone male in a female-dominated field, he faces a comedic struggle to fit in. The movie promises to showcase the events based on real life in a humorous way while adhering to the values of the medical campus and a journey toward becoming a doctor as seen in the trailer.

Following the pandemic, audiences, in particular young adults, have been exposed to genuine, unfiltered, and daring content thanks to OTT platforms. It is only fair that audiences receive the same experience on the big screen in this day and age where such content is accessible. In order to provide a film that is high on humor and in a narrative that is meant to be watched in its truest form, Junglee Pictures and Ayushmann Khurrana made the deliberate decision to not alter the film and take the "A" certification.

"The movie is bold, high on entertainment while subtly breaking stereotypes as one might expect from a true Ayushmann Khurrana film," says Amrita Pandey, CEO of Junglee Pictures. It is a film for young adults who are exposed to bold yet sensitive and humorous content, even though it lacks any explicit material, and they can of course watch it with their families. Since there were no suggested cuts, we are pleased to be able to screen Doctor G in theatres as is. Since it is under 2 hours, Doctor G will be appealing to audiences looking for something new and interesting.

"Doctor G is a fun comedy-drama that is clutter breaking and will be a refreshing watch for the audience," says Anubhuti Kashyap, the film's director, "among all the action, thriller, and fantasy led movies that have released recently. The trailer has received a lot of positive feedback, and it only gives viewers a small taste of the comedy and entertainment the movie will contain. I'm happy that the entire film will be seen by the audience because I know it will stay with them for a very long time.

The film's topic is bold yet universal in nature, and is one that will be well-received by the general public, according to the recently released and highly discussed trailer. It would be enjoyable to watch with friends now that the movie has received a "A" certificate.

Sumit Saxena, Saurabh Bharat, Vishal Wagh, and Anubhuti Kashyap wrote the screenplay, which was directed by Kashyap. The movie Doctor G is slated for a 14th October release. "Woh Ladaki Hai Kahan?" "Dosa King," "Ulajh," and "Click Shankar," to name a few, are also on the upcoming slate from Junglee Pictures.
