Gandhinagar; police arrested a doctor in Gujarat’s Apollo hospital for raping a dengue patient in the ICU earlier this week. The doctor and a hospital worker assaulted the 21-year-old patient, who was admitted to hospital on Saturday.

Firstly, the victim was raped on Sunday, when the doctor, Ramesh Chauhan, 28, was on the night shift.

According to 21-year-old,“she had been given some drug before being raped. The ward boy who allegedly participated in the crime has also been arrested.”

It has been confirmed by the medical examination that the young woman was raped. Police said, that “the woman was heavily drugged and managed to reveal what had happened only yesterday, in a letter to her uncle.”
