New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Monday (April 4, 2022) allowed journalist Rana Ayyub to travel abroad conditionally and questioned the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on the Look Out Circular (LOC) issued against him. Through this, they were barred from travelling abroad. Justice Chandradhari Singh said the permission is with reasonable conditions and a detailed order will be given later. The Delhi High Court has allowed Rana Ayyub to travel abroad conditionally. In which they have to deposit a certain amount, the contact number will have to be given for the investigation. You will also have to share the details of your trip.

In fact, the court was hearing a petition filed by Job seeking quashing of the LOC banning his foreign travel. Last week, journalist Rana Ayyub moved the Delhi High Court challenging the Enforcement Directorate (ED). The petition was opposed by the ED. Meanwhile, arguing on behalf of the ED, ASG SV Raju said that Ayyub has been involved in a serious crime involving an amount of more than Rs 1 crore and there is an apprehension that she will not return to India. Rana Ayyub's lawyer Vrinda Grover, on the other hand, termed it a clear case of harassment. He said that Job had reasonable reasons to come back to India. Because his family lived here.

Ed's lawyer said in the High Court, "Look at Job's conduct. Even after repeated summons, the documents were not given. Fake bills have been provided. According to us, prima facie there is a case of fraud. Part of the cooperation is missing and presence in front of the agency, not cooperation. The court said, "If a person is appearing before the agency and the agency says that the person is appearing, but he is not cooperating, then what is the scale of showing it?" If there is non-cooperation, why don't you arrest her?"' To this, the judge said that at this stage, he is only investigating the LOC and whether the woman can be allowed to go abroad or not and the court is not considering the merits and demerits of the case. Rana Ayyub was detained by the Bureau of Immigration at the Mumbai airport on March 29 when she was on her way to London to attend some journalism-related events.
