India is celebrating the 22nd anniversary of legendary spinner Anil Kumble taking all ten wickets in a single Test innings. It was on February 7, 1999, that Anil Kumble became just the second bowler in the history of cricket to take all ten wickets in an innings of a Test match. On this occasion,  former India batsman VVS Laxman on Sunday termed it as one of the most memorable days of his career and called it a "dream spell" by the leg-spinner to demolish Pakistan batting line-up.

Repling on the BCCI's video on Twitter, Laxman wrote,  "One of the most memorable days in my career. What a dream spell from the champion to demolish a good Pakistan lineup. @anilkumble1074 left everyone of us spellbound. #legend,".

Gautam Gambhir on Sunday labelled the spinner as the "greatest match-winner" India ever had. In a video shared by BCCI on Twitter, Gambhir replied: "The greatest match-winner India ever had! Take a bow, legend! @anilkumble1074."

Anil achieved the feat against Pakistan at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium, now known as Arun Jaitley cricket stadium in Delhi during the second Test of the two-match series. The Legeandry spinner has the third-highest number of wickets (619) in Tests, only behind Sri Lanka's Muttiah Muralitharan (800) and Australia's Shane Warne (708).
