Drew Barrymore appears to be obsessed with her ex-new husband's wife. The actress, 46, discussed her ex-husband Will Kopelman's new wife, Alexandra Michler, Barrymore told media, "He just got remarried last week to this most wonderful woman."Â
She went on to say that, "Allie is a great woman, and I truly believe I won the lottery when I met her. I consider myself fortunate that this new wonderful soul has entered our life." Despite the fact that Michler "knows that I absolutely love the ground she walks on, and I'm her greatest supporter," Barrymore said she doesn't "try to be her best friend." "But I give them space," she continued. "We hang out. We do dinners with all the kids, birthdays. We might take a trip together, we're finding our way in a beautiful, slow, respectful manner."
In the meanwhile, Barrymore said, "I'm just grateful that she came into Will's life and got to know my girls on a personal basis, seeing all of their flaws as well as their strengths, and everything in between. 'I pick you,' he literally said. It's a miracle, and I know miracles exist because I was so disappointed when our relationship didn't work out because I so much wanted this."
Barrymore and Kopelman, both 43, married in 2012 and divorced the following year. The couple's children are Olive, 9, and Frankie, 7. "I believe Will and I did a kick a— job of putting our kids first and demonstrating solidarity," Barrymore remarked, despite their divorce.
