Chandigarh: On November 3, the Border Security Force (BSF) successfully recovered a Pakistani drone during a search operation on the outskirts of Dhanoe Khurd village in Punjab's Amritsar. The operation was initiated based on specific information regarding the presence of a drone, and it was jointly conducted by BSF Punjab and Punjab Police.

The recovered drone was identified as a quadcopter, a DJI Mavic 3 Classic model, and it was confirmed to be of Pakistani origin. This incident came shortly after another drone-related operation on November 1 when the BSF foiled an attempt to smuggle narcotics. During that operation, the BSF discovered a drone carrying approximately 3.242 kg of contraband drugs near Rajatal village in Amritsar.

These incidents highlight the increasing use of drones for illegal activities, including smuggling. Security forces in the region remain vigilant and are actively working to prevent such activities, ensuring the safety and security of the area.
