Airborne Medical Rapid Transport (AMRT25), a hybrid drone developed by T-Works, launched its services today. This drone can travel up to a distance of 45 km in 33 minutes. T-Works said the drone will be further developed by the end of the month to cover a range of 100 km. T-Works CEO Sujay Karampuri said, “Currently available drones need to be recharged or replaced every 20-25 kms, but VTOL-UAVs such as drones developed by T-Works can travel up to 100 kms without interference. Huh."

In a press release, Minister KT Rama Rao said that the UAV has completed more than 30 test flights in a week, passing various parameters like maximum range, endurance, waypoint navigation and return-to-launch capabilities. It can be used not only to deliver medicines but also for survey, defense applications, surveillance etc.

Earlier, the 'Medicine from the Sky' (MFTS) project was launched by the Telangana government to improve the medical supply system. In this project, essential medicines, blood, vaccines, test samples and other life-saving equipment were successfully supplied through drones.
