Drugs, Ganja Seized from Alva's house reported Central Crime Branch

The Central Crime Branch (CCB) has informed about possessing materials in support of FIR against Aditya Alva to the Karnataka High Court. In response to an appeal by Alva to cancel the FIR registered against him, the CCB has  filed the statement of objection.  Narcotic tablets and some quantity of ganja has been seized from Alva’s residence in Hebbal during the raid, said the CCB.

The CCB further added through an accused it is evident that Alva was also arranging parties and is one of the persons to circulate the drugs. The alleged offences against him are cognizable in nature. Justice Suraj Govindaraj postponed the hearing to November 13.Alva's petition says the FIR registered by the Cottonpet Police against him on September 4 under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and IPC is not true. He claimed the FIR did not mention about the commission of any cognizable offence said to have been committed by him.

Alva defends himself with the pride of his family saying, he hails from a respectable family of politicians who made significant contributions to the state. Alva is a International Diplomacy and International Law Masters Degree holder from the SOAS College, London, and a Bachelor’s degree in International Politics from the University of San Francisco. He was absconding from the police. He is the son of Late Jeevaraj Alva, a renowned politician and Nandhini, a famous classical dancer and brother-in-law of actor and businessman Vivek Oberoi.
