Michael K. Williams, 54, died on September 6th at the age of 54. The actor's tragic death has shocked both his fans and colleagues in the acting world. The actor's death has sparked a flood of tributes. Williams' passing was also lamented by Dwayne Johnson, who hailed him as his brother and friend in an emotional message.

"You'll be missed, brother. A true joy to work with you and call you a friend," Johnson said on Instagram, paying homage to the Lovecraft Country singer. "Strength, mana, and love to your family during this very tough and painful time. Go rest high."

Other Hollywood celebrities, like Edward Norton, Viola Davis, and James Gunn, grieved Willis' passing on social media with Johnson. Norton took to Twitter to express his feelings writing, "The news that Michael K Williams has passed away hits me like a punch in the gut. Anguished soul. Working with him has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career."

Director James Gunn also described the late actor as "one of the kindest individuals I've ever encountered." The reason for Williams' death has yet to be determined, however, it is believed that the actor died of a drug overdose. Michael was best known for starring in the HBO drama series The Wire and was found dead in his New York apartment on Monday. Michael's other popular works include Boardwalk Empire, Motherless Brooklyn and When They See Us.
