Raipur: Strong earthquake tremors were felt in Chhattisgarh's Ambikapur on Friday (October 14) morning. According to the National Center for Seismology, the tremors were felt at around 5.28 am. The magnitude of the earthquake was recorded at 4.8 on the Richter scale. At present, there is no information about any loss of life or property due to the earthquake.

According to information provided by the National Center for Seismology, an earthquake of 4.8 magnitudes occurred 65 km from Ambikapur. The epicentre of the earthquake was located 10 km below the ground level. At the same time, people came out of their homes after feeling the tremors. It is being told that the tremors of the earthquake were felt at around 5.28 in the morning. Tremors of the earthquake were also felt in the surrounding areas of the Korean district. 

Let us tell you that earlier in July 2022, the tremors of a 4.7 magnitude earthquake were felt in Sonhat of Baikunthpur, Chhattisgarh. During this, there was an air blast in Charcha Under Ground Mines and 5 labourers were injured. The epicentre of the earthquake was at Sonhat near Baikunthpur at a depth of 16 km from the ground.
