4.2 magnitude moderate intensity  earthquake jolts Ladakh

Leh: Tremors were felt in the Union Territory of Ladakh at 11.02 am on Friday. According to the National Centre for Sysmology (NCS), the magnitude of the earthquake on the Richter scale has been recorded at 4.2. So far, no casualties have been reported due to the tremors. More information is currently awaited.

Earlier on Wednesday, tremors with a magnitude of 3.2 were felt in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir. Officials had informed that there was no loss of life or property. The earthquake occurred at 2:34 pm on Wednesday and its epicentre was recorded in Doda. Earlier last month, assam was hit by several consecutive earthquakes, though no casualties were reported.
