Uttarakhand: Mild earthquake tremors near Bageshwar

Uttarakhand: According to the National Seismological Center of India, earthquake tremors have been felt near Bageshwar district in Uttarakhand today morning. It is being told that the intensity of the earthquake has been measured 3.3 on the Richter scale. The earthquake came here around 10:04 am today. It is being told that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km from the ground.

The National Center for Seismology (NCS) is the nodal agency of the Center under the Ministry of Earth Sciences, which monitors the earthquake activity in the country. This is not the first time. Rather, earthquake tremors are often felt in the mountainous regions of Uttarakhand, although the intensity of the earthquake is low. On 1 December 2020, earthquake tremors were felt in Haridwar after a gap of 40 years. At that time there was a magnitude of 3.9 earthquake in Haridwar at 9:41 am.

There was a magnitude 3.2 earthquake in Joshimath on 8 December 2019. Thereafter a 4.5 magnitude earthquake was felt in Pithoragarh district on 12 November 2019. In this way, earthquake tremors have been felt many times till now.
