The Election Commission of India has launched an application for Android phones ‘TNelection’ for general public to provide range of services. The ECI focused on increasing usage of smart phones among college goers and working students.

“The application can be easily found from the Google play. Also, the app will help the voter to avail the services of the commission” Chief Electoral Officer Rajesh Lakhoni said.

Meanwhile, the application for iOS for Apple phones will also be launched in a few days. The commission also unveil mobile number -9444123456 for public to use lodge complaints also public can sent images to this number.

Electoral officer Lakhoni said when he was asked  “The usage of generic names in government schemes have been sorted out by the Commission earlier. We have instructed officials to ensure that the images of political leaders are not displayed on government schemes”.
