New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) team reached to interrogate Ahmed Patel, a senior Congress leader and extremely close to Sonia Gandhi in the Sandesara scam case. ED questioned Ahmed Patel in relation to Chetan Sandesara, who is said to be close to his son Faisal Patel and son-in-law Irfan Siddiqui. On the first day of questioning, Ahmed Patel appeared before the ED. This interrogation took place at his home. ED officials were not satisfied with Ahmed Patel's reply. Now ED officials will interrogate the Congress leader based on the statements of the witnesses and some suspects in the Sandesara case.

According to the information, the Sandesara scam is bigger than the PNB scam. Sterling Biotech Company Limited and the three promoters of the Sandesara Group, Nitin Sandesara, Chetan Sandesara and Deepti Sandesara, first created fake companies and then hit several banks worth about Rs 14,500 crore. The Congress leader is being interrogated in the Sandesara scam at his home. Ahmed Patel had said that I have crossed 60 years of age. He expressed his inability to go to the ED office for questioning. For this reason, ED went to his home to probe.

Earlier, Ahmad Patel was summoned by the Income Tax Department in the Rs 400 crore hawala transaction case. He is accused that more than 400 crores had come in the accounts of Congress. Right now the officers of the Income Tax Department are investigating the whole matter.
