Amritsar: There has been big news about Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh recently. In fact, his son, Raninder Singh, has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate on the last Tuesday. It is reported that the summons has been sent by ED in the case of alleged illegal foreign funds. You may remember that earlier in the year 2016, Raninder was summoned for allegedly violating the Foreign Exchange Management Act or FEMA. In fact, Raninder Singh was questioned about the alleged fund activities in Switzerland at that time.

There was a question-answer about the creation of a trust and some assistants in the tax haven of the British Virgin Islands. You will remember that the income Tax department had earlier investigated the alleged violations against the chief minister's son. In addition, a case was registered in a court in Punjab in the case. In fact, Raninder has already said that they have nothing to hide.

In addition, he said that he will cooperate fully in the investigation. However, the case was filed after the income Tax department received information against Raninder Singh. At that time, it was learnt that Raninder had reportedly opened an offshore account in the Alpine nation. In the year 2011, the Central Board of Direct Taxes was informed by its French counterparts. Both Raninder Singh and his father Amarinder Singh have also said, "All these allegations are false. '
