Today, Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated in Uttar Pradesh with men, women and children dressed in their best thronging mosques, shrines and Eidgahs across the state for special prayers to mark culmination of the fasting month of Ramzan.
Women offered namaaz at Aishbagh Eidgah for the first time, in Lucknow.
People were greeted by Governor Ram Naik and UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on the occasion at Eidgah.
Muslims from all walks of life made a beeline for Eidgahs and mosques for offering the Eid prayers.
