Mumbai: Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde has once again attacked the former Uddhav Thackeray-led government over Hindutva. CM Eknath Shinde has said that, whenever the issue of Hindutva, Veer Savarkar or Dawood Ibrahim and Mumbai blasts came to the fore, the Maha Vikas Aghadi government could not take a decision, which Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena was also involved.

In an interview, Shinde has said that he decided to carry forward the ideology of Hindu Hriday Samrat Balasaheb Thackeray. He said that if 50 MLAs took this decision, then there must have been some big reason. No one takes such a big step for a small thing. Even councillors do not do this. CM Shinde said that in the 2019 assembly elections, BJP and Shiv Sena contested in an alliance. But, formed the government with NCP and Congress. Because of this whenever the issue of Hindutva came to the fore or that of Savarkar or the issue of Mumbai blasts and Dawood Ibrahim came up, we failed to take a decision.

Eknath Shinde was talking about NCP leader and former Maharashtra cabinet minister Nawab Malik. Malik was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in February this year. Malik has been arrested in the money laundering case related to Dawood Ibrahim. Eknath Shind had earlier said how Balasaheb Thackeray's Shiv Sena can support those who have been accused of having links with Mumbai blasts convict Dawood Ibrahim.
