Mumbai: Maharashtra BJP president Chandrakant Patil on Saturday made a shocking statement. Patil said the BJP moved ahead with Eknath Shinde's face as CM as not only had to give a clear message to the public, but also ensure stability to the government. Patil's statement could be spoken of as the first spark of resentment or opposition within the BJP.

The Maharashtra BJP chief said in the state executive meeting that while making Eknath Shinde the CM of Maharashtra, we put a stone in our hearts. Shiv Sena rebel faction leader Eknath Shinde was sworn in as the CM of Maharashtra on June 30 while Devendra Fadnavis was made deputy CM. At present, the Maharashtra government is awaiting a cabinet expansion.

Chandrakant Patil also said that I and other BJP leaders were sad to see Eknath Shinde become the CM but we overcame our grief and moved on because we had to take forward the pace of development of Maharashtra. On the other hand, Shiv Sena leader and former Maharashtra minister Aaditya Thackeray has claimed that the government led by CM Eknath Shinde in the state is unconstitutional and it will fall soon. Let us know that Thackeray is visiting Maharashtra these days which has been named Shiv Samvad Yatra. He said there is a flood situation in Maharashtra, but the government is engaged in expanding the party. Aditya further said "We are only in touch with the people of Maharashtra and the rebel MLAs can come back to us if they want.''

'Welcome to those who want to return to Shiv Sena..,' said Aaditya Thackeray
