Ekta Kapoor's journey began in 1995, which made Ekta the queen of television. She has produced the most-watched serials of India. Ekta Kapoor celebrates her birthday today. After television shows and films, Ekta is now making waves on the OTT platform as well. 

Hardly anyone could forget the serial 'Hum Paanch' which came on Zee TV in the year 1995.  This first serial with a gang of women got a lot of audiences. When the idea of starting a serial with the story of the family of five girls came to Ekta, mother Shobha Kapoor and father Jeetendra immediately said yes to this idea.  Although there are many hit serials in the name of Ekta, but these 5 serials are the ones that made Ekta the queen of television.

Hum Paanch (1995):-
The special thing about this upcoming serial on Zee TV was that there were no male heroes in this serial, but five girls who fulfilled the hero's place. How a father trapped among the 5 daughters became helpless, lured people and the serial went on till 1999.

Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi (2000):-
The league of saas-bahu serial was started by Ekta with this serial.  Such a role was created by Ekta that it became difficult for her to finish off.  From 2001 to 2005, the serial won the Indian Television Academy Award for best serial.  More than 1800 episodes of this serial, which lasted for 8 years, were shown and its role is still remembered today.

Kasauti Zindagi Ki (2001):-
Starting in the year 2001, this serial made the legacy of Ekta's saas-bahu serial even bigger.  Shweta Tiwari was made a superstar by Ekta from this serial.  In this serial that lasted for 1483 episodes, the story of Anurag and Prerna became famous in the house and finally, this serial could be finished only after the elimination of both the roles.

Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki (2000):-
Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi started with the serial Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki and actress Sakshi Tanwar's career was taken to the sky by this serial.  How an ideal daughter-in-law struggles with the small problems of her house and keeps the whole family together, only in this story, this serial went on for 8 years.  Ekta had caught the pulse of the Indian audience and the 'Saas Bahu' period had begun.

Naagin (2015):-
In the meantime, there are many serials like Mohabbatein, Pavitra Rishta and Kusum which can be considered as Ekta's most successful serials.  But all of them had almost the same plot.  Naagin is special because Ekta broke her set pattern from this serial and gave fantasy to the audience.  The credit for starting the Naag Nagin trend after saas-bahu of this serial launched in the year 2015 also goes to Ekta.
