Producer Ekta Kapoor's most popular and iconic show Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii is going to make a comeback on small screens after 14 long years. It will once again bring back the old days with its famous on-screen lead characters Parvati (Sakshi Tanwar) and Om (Kiran Karmarkar) from the show.
Ekta posted a short clip from the show with its famous title song and wrote a very long caption in which she recalled how young and ambitious she was when the show had begun.
She wrote in the caption “I was this young, ambitious 25-year- old TV producer who was trying to make a mark in the entertainment world…. I was determined to create something really big that could make a difference in society… I’ve always looked for inspiration in real people around me, and that’s how the journey of #KahaaniGharGharKii began… After much persuasion, Sakshi agreed to essay the role of Parvati, who went on to become India’s favourite bahu along with Tulsi. After seeing this post all the fans of the show got nostalgic and wrote they can’t wait to watch the show with their family once again. The iconic television show Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki was about a Marwadi joint family in which Parvati is the ideal daughter-in-law and Om is the ideal son. While the show deals with everyday household issues, it also advises that sometimes one must go against their family members to do what is morally correct. It was the largest family drama of its time, and it spawned many more shows which changed the game on TV. It aired from October 16, 2000, to October 9, 2008, and kept the viewers engrossed for 8 long years.
