Chandigarh: election commission recovered Rs. 1.68 lakh from Resident

Chandigarh: Election Commission's special squad has discovered Rs 1.68 lakh from a resident of the city Krishan Lal. The station house officer Harman Cheema with his team and help of EC Team set up a blockade at Dholewal Chowk where they stopped Krishan Lal and recovered money from him.

Harman Cheema  said “The legal process is going on. All the notes are in Rs 20 and Rs 10 currency denomination. He was providing these small denomination notes to the shopkeepers ”.

This is the first money recovery by the Team. In all over the city, 12 blockade has been set up to keep an eye on people so that they could not bring illegal money in the Punjab.
