However, even after the chairmanship of the institute, Nandkumar has expressed doubts over the use of EVMs. "In a democracy, voting rights are the highest right and EVM are being used for this. No national or internal institution or government can justify EVM 100 per cent. Even then, elections in the country are being held using these machines, which is violating the constitutional rights of my vote.
