SAN FRANCISCO: Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, is scheduled to talk to Twitter staff for the first time this week in a bid to calm their fears and explain his vision.

According to Insider, Musk will attend a virtual conference with Twitter employees on Thursday to answer questions about his USD44 billion takeover proposal, which he has placed on hold until he receives answers about the prevalence of bots on the microblogging network.

Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal reportedly announced the event in an email to staff, instructing them to submit questions for Musk ahead of time.

Twitter's board of directors apparently planned to give Musk access to the vast "firehose" data stream of more than 500 million tweets produced each day earlier this month. Musk has been pushing for information regarding spam and false accounts since making a USD44 billion proposal to buy Twitter in April.

If the corporation fails to deliver the data, he has threatened to walk away from the contract. To end the impasse with the billionaire, the Twitter board of directors intends to grant him access to data that he claims is required to assess the number of fraudulent users on the network.

According to the report, the information might be supplied as soon as this week, according to the individual who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
