Erode: A 16-year-old minor girl was forced to donate eggs not once but eight times at a private fertility clinic in Erode, Tamil Nadu. Police have arrested three persons who forced the girl to do so. One of the arrested criminals is the victim's mother. Now there is another new revelation in this incident. The police found that the minor was raped several times by the stepfather over five years.
According to reports, the victim's mother has separated from her first husband. Then she married someone else. The minor also lived with them. The two used to assault the minor. She was forced to donate the eggs. The stepfather, along with another woman, used to get the minor to donate eggs to a private fertility clinic.
The second criminal woman had made a fake Aadhaar card of the minor and took a commission of Rs 5,000. The criminal mother had sold her daughter's eggs for 20 thousand rupees. Police have registered a case under sections 420 (cheating) and 506 (ii) (criminal intimidation) of the POCSO Act, IPC, as well as several sections. The minor's 33-year-old mother, her 40-year-old stepfather and another woman were arrested in the incident. All three are lodged in Salem Central Jail. The case came to light when, upset over the harassment of the mother and stepfather, the minor fled to her relative's house in the month of May and went to Salem and narrated her ordeal to them. Police said, in the meantime, the girl's mother and two others came to Salem. They threatened the girl and took her back to Erode. The girl's relatives lodged a case against the culprit mother and two others at the Erode South police station. They were arrested the same day. The case is now under investigation by the police.
