Today, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) launched search operations at the homes of AAP's Rajya Sabha MP ND Gupta and Bibhav Kumar, the personal secretary to Delhi's Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. These searches are part of an investigation into suspected money laundering activities.

The raids, spanning around 10 locations in the national capital, come in the wake of an ongoing probe into financial irregularities. Shalabh Kumar, a former member of the Delhi Jal Board, is also under scrutiny in connection with this case.

Sources within the AAP suggest that these searches may be a retaliatory measure following the party's plans to reveal purported misdeeds by the agency. A press conference scheduled for 10 am today was expected to shed light on these allegations.

In related developments, the Enforcement Directorate recently sought compliance from a special court regarding repeated summonses issued to Arvind Kejriwal. These summonses were in connection with an investigation into an alleged liquor scam in Delhi, where the AAP government's excise policy is believed to have been manipulated to benefit a group of liquor traders.
