England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) chief Tom Harrison said that if the cricket is not played in the upcoming season due to the Kovid-19 epidemic, the ECB could suffer a loss of more than 300 million pounds (Rs 2800 crore). Harrison is among the ECB employees who are cutting their salaries to overcome the crisis. In a letter sent to the Association of Professional Cricketers (PCA) chief Tony Iris, Harrison has expressed concern about the long-term effects of the epidemic. In this letter, Harrison claimed that he is cutting his salary by 25 percent for at least the next three months. Harrison wrote, "This epidemic is the biggest challenge for sports right now, although its complete impact on cricket is not yet known but it is clear that it will be extremely important."

The deposit capital of the ECB was 73.3 million pounds in 2016-17, which was reduced to 10 million pounds in 2018-19. In such a situation, if the cricket is not played in this session, then the ECB's financial fund may be affected. England has postponed all types of professional cricket until 28 May due to the Kovid-19 epidemic. So far 40,000 people have died due to this disease worldwide. This year there is an uncertainty about the county session. The first county session was to begin on April 12. 20 percent reduction in players' salary: Harrison wants a 20 percent reduction in the salary of players with central contracts under these circumstances and he hopes that the players will accept it.
