New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his unwavering belief on Saturday that the Aspirational Block Program (ADP) would achieve a resounding 100 percent success rate, much akin to the transformative impact witnessed under the Aspirational Districts Program, which has positively affected the lives of over 25 crore individuals residing across 112 Indian districts.

In a significant development, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated a distinctive week-long initiative for Aspirational Blocks across the nation, titled 'Sankalp Saptaah,' held at the prestigious Bharat Mandapam in the capital city.

Reflecting on the monumental achievements of the Aspirational Districts Program, he remarked, "The Aspirational Districts Program has brought about a remarkable transformation in the lives of more than 25 crore people residing in 112 districts across the nation, elevating their quality of life. I am confidently optimistic that, just as the Aspirational Districts Program has achieved remarkable success, the Aspirational Block Program is poised to attain a remarkable 100 percent success rate."

Prime Minister Modi went on to emphasize the departure from previous administrations' uniform housing models, highlighting his government's emphasis on utilizing locally sourced materials and implementing an owner-driven approach to construction.

He underscored the pivotal role of Block Panchayats within the ambit of the Aspirational Block Programme, stating, "Block Panchayats play an instrumental role in the Aspirational Block Programme. New India aspires for governance reforms."

Furthermore, the Prime Minister elucidated his government's straightforward strategy for the Aspirational District Programme, stating, "If we wish to achieve transformative and holistic development, mere statistics may offer a semblance of satisfaction, but substantial change remains elusive. Thus, it is imperative that we advance by implementing grassroots-level changes."

In an earnest plea to state governments and officials of the Government of India, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the significance of recognizing and nurturing success within the block, thereby ensuring a brighter future that instills passion and motivation for further contributions.

Drawing from his own experiences, he conveyed, "I can affirm that an abundance of financial resources is not the sole requisite for catalyzing change. By optimizing resource utilization and fostering convergence, we can undertake developmental initiatives within any block without incurring additional expenses. The real change-makers are the individuals who deliver results, and it is imperative to nurture and empower these teams."

The Prime Minister further emphasized the need to transcend the belief that the government should bear the responsibility for all facets of development, reiterating the immense potential vested in societal unity.

In his candid reflection, he remarked, "Based on my experiences, swift progress is attained in blocks or districts where the power of uniting society is harnessed. This underpins the success of initiatives like the cleanliness campaign, which has established an environment where littering is discouraged."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi exuded confidence in the Aspirational Block Program, drawing inspiration from the transformative journey of the Aspirational District Program, as he called for a collective and grassroots-driven approach to usher in holistic development and change across the nation.
