New Delhi: Most subscribers of the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) may not know that they will be entitled to pension at the time of retirement. However, if there is any such, then they will need an EPS scheme certificate in time. There are about 3.3 lakh people who are entitled to pension under the Employee Pension Scheme.

8.33 percent of the basic salary and dearness allowances of the occupation people go to the Employee Pension Scheme. However, it has a maximum cap of Rs 1,250. The new sum is divided by 70 after multiplying your pension's average salary for the last 60 months by pensionable service. According to this scheme, one can get a minimum pension of Rs 1,000 per month.

You become pensionable at the age of 58 years. If someone leaves the job between the age of 50 to 57 years, they will still get the benefit of pension. However, this pension will be less. At the same time, if a person continues his work even after 58 years, who continues to contribute to EPF, then he can get pension from the age of 58 years.
