New Delhi: The air pollution in Delhi-NCR on Friday is undoubtedly increasing, but the quality is recovering as the speed of wind increases. The air quality index has reached 239 with a shortfall of 73 points in 24 hours. In the meantime, Delhi's air has come down from a very bad level. Pollution Control Board forecasts that there is no possibility of any major overhaul of the pollution level due to the speed of surface winds in the next 2 days. Quality can remain in poor standards.

According to Safar, about 583 cases of burning of stubble were registered in Punjab, Haryana, and border areas on Thursday. Meanwhile, the winds reaching Delhi are moving from the west side. This has sharply increased the amount of smoke in Delhi's pollution. The smoke has reached Delhi this season. Even after which the air quality has improved.

As per the data released by CPCB, the air quality index was recorded at 239 on Friday. While 24 hours ago on Thursday it had gone up to 312. Experts estimate that the major reason for the decline in pollution levels is increasing the speed of surface winds. High-speed winds help in taking Delhi's pollution far and away. The pollutant could not be deposited on the surface of Delhi.

It was forecasted that there has been no change in the surface wind speed on Saturday and Sunday. The level of pollution will remain in a bad category.
