Even though L. Murugan has now become a Union minister in Tamil Nadu, his aged parents are working on the ground to make a living. Loganathan and Varudammal, Ministers of State for Information and Broadcasting L. Murugan has parents who work in the fisheries, animal husbandry and dairy sectors. The same report states that the couple lives in Konur village (about 400 km from here) in Namakkal district and is leading their life independently. The couple has not changed their behavior after their son became the state chief of the national party or became a Union minister. But he remains determined to his goal of being free. He completed his schooling in government schools before studying law at Ambedkar Law College, Chennai.
