Due to snowfall and lack of rain, wheat, pea and apple crops are getting damaged while the gardeners are not able to plant new saplings. Most of the districts got to see sunshine on Sunday.
Pruning and towel making work in apple orchards has come to a standstill: Harish Chauhan, convener of the United Kisan Manch, has said that due to lack of rain and snowfall for the last three months, a drought situation is prevailing. It is also being estimated that the upcoming apple crop will be affected due to this. At this time, work of pruning (cutting) and making towels was done in the gardens, but due to inclement weather the work has come to a standstill. At the same time, wheat has been sown.
