Andhra Pradesh:  N Chandrababu Naidu, the former Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition in Andhra Pradesh, tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday with mild symptoms and has been quarantined at home.

"With modest symptoms, I tested positive for COVID. I've quarantined myself at home and am taking all precautions necessary. I would advise anyone who has come into contact with me to get tested as soon as possible. Please be careful and safe "In a tweet, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president said.

Covid Updates: On Monday, 4,108 new cases and 696 recoveries were registered in Andhra Pradesh, according to state government data. The number of active coronavirus cases in Andhra Pradesh surpassed 30,000, with 4,108 new positives added to the state's total. In the 24 hours leading up to 9 a.m. Monday, 22,882 samples were analysed, yielding a positive rate of around 19%, up 4% from the previous dfay.

According to the latest updates,  696 infected people were healed in a single day, and no new Covid-19 deaths have been reported in the state. The total number of positive cases has now reached 21,10,388, with 20,65,696 recoveries and 14,510 fatalities, according to the bulletin. The district of Visakhapatnam reported 1,018 new infections, while Chittoor reported 1,004.
