Bhopal: The department may claim arrangements at various levels to protect railway passengers, but the reality is different. Former Madhya Pradesh MLA Samajwadi Party MLA Sunilam was allegedly threatened by an unidentified youth for serious consequences. The former MLA had to hide in the toilet for fear of the young man and save his life. The incident took place when Sunilam, a two-time MLA from Multai Assembly constituency, was travelling from Nizamuddin to Multai in ac coach of the Gondwana Express on Monday-Tuesday night.

In a letter, Sunilam complained to Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal on Tuesday. Dr. Sunilam B-One was travelling in AC coach. The young man, who arrived at the same Darran Bina railway station with a woman, started misbehaving with the people present in the coach. Sunilam said, the accused, along with a woman named Arti, boarded the train at Bina station. He allegedly abused her and threatened to face serious consequences. The uproar lasted for three hours. Before the train reached Bhopal station, the man called several of his colleagues and abused him. The Samajwadi Party leader claimed that he told the train passenger ticket examiner (TTE) about the incident but to no avail.

Sunilam alleged that the accused, along with his operatives, tried to kill me. They had to hide the restroom to escape. Dr. Sunilam said the tweet on the incident did not help either. They have demanded immediate arrest of goons threatening to kill, immediate suspension and arrest of officers and employees.
