New Delhi: Delhi-NCR is facing the havoc of cold waves. The chill has increased. Bone shivering has increased people's problems. In Delhi today (Tuesday) the minimum temperature has fallen to 5.5 degrees, while the maximum temperature is expected to be up to 15 degrees during the day. According to meteorologists, in the next 24-48 hours, the cold havoc will increase in many states of North India including Delhi. To protect the homeless people from the cold, rain shelters have been built in many places in Delhi.

According to the Meteorological Department, the cold is likely to increase this week. Especially between Thursday and Friday, the temperature can fall by four to five degrees Celsius. However, the quality of the air has improved slightly due to strong winds. Nevertheless, the Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi-NCR remains between 250 and 400, which is a very poor category.

The cold will increase further in many parts of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh and Punjab in the next week. Also, a cold wave can be seen in North Rajasthan. Whereas, there is a possibility of heavy rains in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Along with this, there is also a possibility of a hail storm in eastern Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh with thunderstorms.
