A strong sense of security in the people is possible for the advancement and development of society. It has an important role to play in the district captain (SSP, SP, DCP, Commissioner of Police). Improving the law and order and building a fear-free society is a priority for any government as well as a major challenge. Where the law and order are weak, it also affects the overall development. The police captain of the district has the most important role to play in restoring strict law and order, preventing theatre, controlling robberies, dacoity, and other incidents and strengthening security from the traffic system, and curbing crime.  They contribute significantly to the dignity of the office as well as the honest discharge of duty. The improvement in law and order and crime control make the lives of the general public simple and confident.

Fame India's editorial chief, U.S. Sonthalia said that as a positive media, we decided to give credit and respect to the police captains who are playing a better role in security, peace and public confidence in the public at the district level this time, just like every year. At present, choosing just 50 popular police captains in more than 700 district police captains across the country was a very challenging task. First, fame India magazine and Asia Post survey selected top 200 district police captains (SP, SSP, DCP, Commissioner) on the basis of various sources, ground surveys. The opinion, ground and media reports of eminent people from different regions across the country were also based on the following 12 parameters- crime control, improvement in law and order, people-friendly, foresight, excellent thinking, accountable working style, quick ability to take important decisions, awareness, behavioural skills, etc. These 200 district police captains have a unique place across the country due to their excellence.
