New Delhi: For the first time after the removal of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, Farooq Abdullah, former Lok Sabha member and former CM of the Valley, came to participate in the Monsoon Session of Parliament on Monday. In this session, Abdullah said that some leaders in Jammu and Kashmir have been detained illegally after changing the situation in the valley.

It is worth mentioning that Abdullah was one of the leaders of Jammu and Kashmir who were detained on August 5 last year after the Center repealed Section 370. Several senior leaders including Congress leaders Shashi Tharoor and Manish Tiwari, NCP's Supriya Sule, DMK K. Raja and Muthuvel Karunanidhi Kanimozhi and All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Chief Asaduddin Owaisi welcomed Farooq Abdullah in the Lok Sabha chamber. He sat in his fixed seat in the second row of the opposition bench.

During the removal of Article 370 in the winter session of last year, many opposition leaders demanded that Abdullah be allowed to be present in Parliament. Abdullah then spoke to the media in an interview in Srinagar, stating that he had to break the door of his house to come out of the house arrest and rejected Union Home Minister Amit Shah's claim that he (Abdullah) somewhere They are also free to travel.
