Srinagar: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference (NC) leader Farooq Abdullah on Saturday (November 19) attacked the BJP, saying that when elections come, the BJP starts saying 'Hindus are in danger.' Abdullah said people should not fall for such traps. Addressing a gathering in Jammu and Kashmir's Akhnoor, Abdullah said, "No religion is bad. Their human beings are corrupt.''
Let me tell you that, in 1990, when terrorists massacred Kashmiri Hindus, Farooq Abdullah was the CM of Jammu and Kashmir. Even now, the target killing of Hindus is being done in Kashmir. Still, Abdullah says, "They will use 'Hindus are in danger' vigorously during the elections, but I request you not to fall for such traps." During this, Abdullah also attacked Pakistan. He said "People in the neighboring country are not strong.'' Abdullah further said "We have never joined hands with Pakistan. Jinnah had come to meet my father, but we refused to shake hands with him. We are happy about that. People in Pakistan are not empowered.''
In this rally, Farooq Abdullah also raised the issue of employment in Jammu and Kashmir. He said, ''We were promised 50,000 jobs here, but where are those jobs? Our doctors, nurses, paramedical staff and our children are all unemployed. It cannot be done by any governor, you cannot hold them responsible. Elections are important for this.''
