Fatal Ambush: Maoists Attack CAF Personnel in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur District

Raipur: In a tragic incident in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district, a member of the Chhattisgarh Armed Force (CAF) fell victim to a deadly attack by Maoists at a village market. The ambush took place at around 9:30 am in a village under the jurisdiction of Kutru police station. The CAF team was stationed there to provide security at the market, as per reports from a senior official.

The targeted attack was directed at company commander Tijau Ram Bhuarya, who was leading the CAF team at the time of the assault. According to the official's statement, a small group of Maoists launched the attack, brutally hacking Bhuarya to death with an axe before swiftly retreating from the scene.

Bhuarya, a member of the 4th battalion of the CAF, tragically lost his life in the line of duty during the onslaught.

Upon receiving information about the attack, a police team promptly responded to the scene and initiated a search operation in the vicinity in an attempt to track down the assailants. The incident underscores the ongoing challenges posed by insurgency in the region and highlights the risks faced by security personnel operating in such volatile environments.
