Shimla: Two people died, and two others were seriously injured when their car plunged into a deep gorge in Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. The tragic incident occurred on Saturday night when the driver, Ankush (25), lost control of the vehicle, causing it to fall into the 150-meter-deep gorge.

Ankush and his friend Abhishek (23) were declared dead on arrival at Theog Civil Hospital, while Dalip (25) and Lalit (24) are currently receiving treatment for their injuries. All four individuals involved in the accident were residents of Theog near Dharampur.

This unfortunate incident comes just two months after a similar accident in Shimla, where a Swift car fell into a ditch in Balsan, resulting in the death of three people. In that incident, the car lost control and fell into a 350-meter-deep ditch near Bandhu Dhank of Dhanot around 4:45 pm. The bodies of the deceased were retrieved from the ditch with the help of local residents, although the difficult terrain made the operation challenging.
