Lucknow: Two girls tied the knot, and after marriage reached the police station for their safety in the city of Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh. From where they had to return empty-handed. Ever since the Supreme Court upheld homosexuality, such marriages are being seen in large numbers.
Komal, a resident of Sadar Kotwali area, has married Poonam Devi, a resident of Kanpur. Soon after the wedding, both the girls reached Sadar Kotwali to seek security. From where the police sent both girls back empty-handed. Poonam Devi said in her statement, whatever will happen next will be seen. Both of us have come to the police station to read that both of us no longer have any meaning with family members. We were friends, and used to work together.
In this case, the groom's mother Meena told that we have approved this relationship. We want to take these two to our home. What had to happen has been done, now we cannot do anything in it. If both are happy with each other, then there is no problem. The bride Komal said that this is my husband, we are his wife. The girl from Fatehpur, like a wife, came in a salwar-kurta, while the girl from Kanpur, like a husband, reached Kotwali in a pant-shirt. He was not helped by the police on this matter, and the family of the bridegroom girl agrees with this relationship, they have no objection to it in any way.
