Shimla: In order to prevent fraud of BPL selection in Himachal Pradesh, the government will now conduct videography of Gram Sabhas to be held in Panchayats. Development block officers will monitor it online. Fake poor has created chaos after the revelations. The Panchayati Raj department is making changes in the system to bring transparency. Rich people and fake poor officers are calling the office and asking for the process of surrendering their BPL ration cards.

The department has made it clear that all this should have been seen in the past, now legal action will be taken. Panchayati Raj Minister Virendra Singh Kanwar told that "These affluent people have given affidavits of being poor to come in the BPL category. Now they cannot escape the proceedings. The Panchayati Raj Minister said that the number of accused who are poor officers is as much as the panchayat secretary and head. Without his found Bhagat, this fraud cannot be done. Those who take away the rights of the poor will not be left out".

Notices are being issued by BDO office to these fake poor officers. BDO has been asked to file a case. The BDO has been ordered to write a letter to the concerned Heads of Departments, and find out whether these people have taken a government job under the guise of BPL quota. Joint director of the Rural Development Department, Anil Sharma said that there have been orders from the government to take strict action by filing an FIR against these fake BPL officers. The entire case will now be investigated.
