New Delhi: FIFA, the peak body of football in the world, has suspended India's football body 'All India Football Federation.' Not only this, but FIFA has also taken away the right to host the Under-17 Women's World Cup from India. FIFA said in a statement that it has been decided to suspend AIFF with immediate effect due to the undue influence of third parties.

On this move of FIFA, the central government has now moved to the top court and demanded an urgent hearing. Actually, India has to host the FIFA tournament from 11 to 30 October. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing for the central government, told Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice A. s. Told Bopanna's bench that FIFA has sent India a letter of suspension. There is an urgent need to hear this.

On this, the Supreme Court told Mehta that the matter is listed for Wednesday. However, the court will try to take this issue as the first case. Mehta said that FIFA is headquartered in Geneva and has taken certain decisions which need to be brought before the court. He said, 'I appeal that the AIFF case pending in the court should be heard immediately.'
