Matches of the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup to be played in Bhubaneswar, Goa, Navi Mumbai

World football's regulatory body FIFA on Wednesday announced that the FIFA under-17 women's world cup matches will be held in Bhubaneswar, Goa and Navi Mumbai. The tournament is scheduled to be played in October this year.  

FIFA has said that the draw of the tournament is scheduled to be held in Zurich on June 24. The tournament could not take place in 2020 due to the Covid pandemic. Fifa  All India Football Federation and the local organising committee have announced the host cities after a detailed review.  

Fifa Women's Football Chief Official Sary Bereman has said that this is an important step after FIFA's recent visit to India and has also started a countdown to the organization of the tournament. Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Japan and New Zealand have confirmed their participation with India. The tournament is scheduled to be played from October 11 to 30.
