DOHA: The "virus-hit" French football team has been "enforcing social separation" and exercising all due caution in the lead-up to Sunday's vital FIFA World Cup semifinal match against Argentina.

The French football federation confirmed on Friday that the virus in the French camp has affected central defenders Raphael Varane and Ibrahima Konate in addition to winger Kingsley Coman, who missed the Friday training session due to a cold. The virus also caused Dalot Upamecano and Adrien Rabiot to miss the semifinal match against Morocco.

According to the federation, the three players worked out in the gym on their own. It's unclear if they will be able to play in Sunday's match against Argentina.

On Friday, forward Randal Kolo Muani stated the team was being cautious.

He responded, "Those who are ill stay in their chamber." "The physicians are taking care of them, and we have been enforcing social seclusion.

"About it, we're really strict." Ousmane Dembele, a similar forward, said: "We don't fear that sickness. When Dayot and Adrien experienced a little tummy discomfort, I made them ginger and honey tea, which helped them feel better. I'm hoping that everyone is prepared for the final.

"Dayot improved, and I believe everyone will be prepared. We've been taking safety measures. Dayot stayed in his room on the first day, but we brought him food, and the next day he joined the group."
